Comments The Middle East continues to grow and become more
expatriate friendly, especially for expatriates with families.
Growth has been fueled by the development in Dubai, but this has been down played by the drop in
business in the
triangle of Egypt, Jordan and Israel. Although the number of Middle East opportunities has increased,
the salaries have not followed. They have maintained almost exactly the 2000 level, except in
middle management areas, i.e. Chief Engineer, Catering Manager,
Personnel Manager etc., which has
shown marked increases due to demands for more experienced professionals in these positions.
