Comments
In resort hotels add housing plus car (full maintenance) for
General Manager, Executive Assistant and Comptroller only. This region has a large increase
in boutique 5-star resorts developed by smaller less well-known resort companies. Salaries for these under
100-room hotels are far above the international range, i.e. General Manager - 130K U.S. net, Executive Chef
- 95K net plus benefits. Larger city centre hotels ahve suffered due to North American slow down. Even positions
such as F&B and Director of Sales & Marketing have been eliminated. This region should rebound quickly due to
the strong base of international tourism.
