Seeking an Entrepreneurial Restaurant General Manager for the exciting reopening and rebranding of Restaurant outlet in a 5 star luxury Hotel in Toronto's downtown core. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing independent/stand alone restaurants in Toronto's vibrant upscale restaurant scene. Must have an entrepreneurial spirit and be able to run this restaurant, as a separate business unit within a 5 star Hotel in the city. The Restaurant General Manager will report directly to the General Manager of the Hotel and have direct supervision of Food & Beverage Managers for outlet. Must have the following skills: *Take ownership of all aspects of the operation *Have an entrepreneurial approach to building a business, specifically focused on driving revenue, business and service culture. *Improve overall guest satisfaction based on guest feedback *Must have a strong financial acumen to manage all financials related to Restaurant Operations *Previous experience in developing restaurant concepts, menu engineering, working closely with the F&B and culinary teams to create a unique and upscale ambiance for guests. *Be instrumental in creating a culture of service excellence within the Restaurant team. *Previous pre-opening experience is an asset *Be able to manage a team of 20 plus employees. * Must be able to demonstrate excellent leadership qualities and providing guests with exemplary customer service. *Must have intimate knowledge of Toronto's upscale dining scene. *Must have Canadian work authorization to be considered.
