OpportunityManaging Director - Europe

A well recognized hospitality group known for developing several brands and hotels in SE Asia and with expansion plans in Australia, Europe, Africa and other countries worldwide seeks a Managing Director for their Europe division. This group is a leader in their market segment and currently has aggressive expansion plans in Europe. So, the primary objective of the Managing Director is to selectively expand the company's properties in the near future. Since the Managing Director will be based in Germany, it is important for the candidate to have excellent knowledge of the German market with relevant owner and industry contacts in the region. Minimum 10 years of experience in senior positions, preferably in the operations division in multi-culture environment is what our client is looking for. You must currently hold a Regional or Group Sales and Marketing or General Manager position within a well known hospitality group in Europe, with strong business Sales and Marketing development skills, developing independent and strong European sales and revenue management structure, opening new properties, as well as solid experience in acquiring hotels are some of the important skills and experience for this role. This post mainly requires operations, acquisition and Sales development experience in the budget and midscale segment. Someone who can work independently, a self driven motivator and leader, and someone who has good understanding of a new company coming into the market. IMPORTANT: The most important factor is that he/she is German speaking and has all the active ownership contacts in the German market, especially for the budget and midscale segment. You must also be a "go getter" as our client's aim is to sign 20 deals within 12-18 months in Europe. Salary: Negotiable.
