OpportunityHotel Director of Sales and Marketing

*Current Middle East experience mandatory* We are assisting a Luxury Hotel and Serviced Residences Group in identifying a talented and established Director of Sales & Marketing for their 475 rooms hotel/residence in Doha. Our client wants a "winner" and an experienced DOSM who can "hit the road running" and know where the business is. They will pay what it takes to hire the best candidate! The Director of Sales & Marketing must come from a well known brand and will report to the General Manager of the property. He/she will always operate with the property's strategic objective in mind and provide the Sales & Marketing expertise and leadership necessary to achieve these objectives. The Director of Sales & Marketing will be responsible for establishing, implementing and executing the strategic sales efforts to ensure the successful positioning of the hotel/residences, so as to achieve all annual revenue and occupancy targets. The DOSM will maximize sales, grow business share and ensure the property maintains its excellent reputation throughout the competitive region. You will also lead and direct extensive business development initiatives for the near and long-term. The ideal candidate must be well known by key national clients and business partners and have a strong presence within the luxury market segment nationally and internationally. You will use your connections and relationships to target the top tier clients within the leisure market and use market research and resources to identify new clients. Responsibilities for this position also include managing the development and implementation of the Sales & Marketing Plans and Business Strategies so as to achieve top revenues. Manage a strong and well-performing sales team to reach the next level of production. Lead and inspire the Sales, Marketing, Reservations and Revenue teams and foster a supportive and effective team culture. Develop strong partnerships with key stakeholders to further increase brand/product awareness. Qualifications: . Must have experience in the Middle East, as well as some experience in the European and N. American markets. . Ability to travel as needed to visit clients, attend conferences and build business. . Possess at least 5 years' experience in a Leadership position within a Luxury Sales & Marketing Operation . Strong industry connections and diverse network throughout Europe, North America and Internationally. . Demonstrated sales performance track record and proven management skills Annual salary is between US$65,000 to US$70,000 and will be negotiated as per the candidate's skills, qualifications and achievements.
