Chief Executive Officer (CEO-Hotels) - Europe An esteemed and globally respected organization, with extensively diversified properties which includes deluxe hotels and resorts seeks a Chief Executive Officer (CEO-Hotels), who will be a seasoned Hospitality Executive with preferably, previous experience in public listed companies in emerging markets. Based at the Group's Executive offices in Europe, the CEO will lead this world class internationally recognized and outstanding hotel and resort organization. This key international executive leadership position will report to the Chairman REQUIREMENTS: . The selected candidate will be responsible for the long term continued success and sustainability of this organization. Hence, it is crucial for this person to be currently a senior hospitality professional in a CEO, COO or a Sr. Vice President role, within a recognized International Hotel Group and possess exceptional leadership experience . For this CEO position, the ideal person will have a proven and accomplished understanding of the hospitality and tourism sector internationally and notably within the developing world. They will be a strategic thinker, focusing on new initiatives within an economic and international development context. . The CEO must have previous operations experience and the ability to lead change across geographies, navigate ambiguity and complexity effectively, be innovative and strive for excellence and quality. Be the face of and represent this international major brand organization before all government, semi government and autonomous bodies. . It is very important for the CEO to demonstrate outstanding communication, interpersonal and motivational skills to maximize team management performance. A keen eye for details and an ability to set an example by personally demonstrating how things ought to be done. . You must be capable of leading and executing the mandate of the company's vision and positioning for each business units to grow them with a strong and shared passion within the organization. . In addition to the above, the CEO will have demonstrated success at fostering and building sustainable relationships within a diversified group of multi-national stakeholders and will have the ability to build capacity locally, to deal with demanding and sometimes conflicting interests and to draw on expertise from many sources. RESPONSIBILITIES: . As CEO of this diversified company, you will be totally responsible for the strategic, financial and managerial performance, including the supervision of head office senior management and lead Managing Directors and management team in extensive field operations throughout a number of major countries. . The CEO will establish performance evaluation criteria and standards within the organization and provide inspirational and motivational leadership by setting a personal example for achieving the objectives. . You will be expected to lead and advise on the strategy of new projects and their financial viability and appropriateness within the organization strategic plans. Optimum security governance, controls and marketing activities and as a senior leader, will work as an effective partner and collaborator with his/her peers, building strong and ethical relationships contributing to the broader vision of the organization. . In this important role, you are required to provide leadership and coordination in critical areas of synergy, human resources, sales and marketing, financial and compliance, and operations. Keep abreast of new and changing developments within the Tourism Sector, especially within the areas of innovation, sustainability and social media in today's internet, technology world. . In addition to the above, the CEO must be extremely articulate in the vision and representing this organization to a wide range of audiences and stakeholders, including governments, other potential partner organizations and the media. You will develop a Strategic Plan to achieve the company objectives. The Plan should include specific targets, financial plans and strategies to promote revenue, profitability and stainability of the organization. QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS: . A proven and successful senior hotel leadership background, with extensive experience in the following international destinations, Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asian and the Far East is most desirable. . Strong financial and commercial acumen, experience with control procedures within the hotel industry, feasibility studies for touristic ventures and appropriate marketing and commercial activities. . Outstanding people management skills across multiple jurisdictions with proven leadership management skills and a track record of success in recruiting, motivating and developing high performing teams. . Strong ability to be able to navigate through complex situations and critical thinking in understanding what the causes of a complex situation may be in determining the best course of action. . Proven hospitality track record of delivering on strategic goals, excellence and leading change in an international hotel/resort multi-cultural environment. . Excellent written and spoken English with knowledge and fluency in other European languages is highly desirable . Education and experience commensurate with this senior role, BA, MA and MBA. . A willingness to travel extensively on a national and international basis is essential.
