Please read the requirements and responsibilities below before applying* **Caribbean experience is important** A well respected hospitality group, who owns and manages several diversified operations in addition to Hospitality in the Caribbean, seeks a Group Internal Auditor who will take charge and be responsible for the Auditing of the company's businesses that ranges from Hotel Management to Designing, Business Development, Asset Management, and IT Services. . This is NOT a typical Hotel Auditor's role. Our client is not looking for an Accounting professional, a CPA or a CA who will sit in the office all day and calculate numbers. To determine your suitability for this role, please review the responsibilities and requirements below: Based at the head office in Turks & Caicos and reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Group Internal Auditor will be responsible for overseeing the auditing of the group's entire operations. Hence, this person must have experience in hotels, retail, spa, banquets, rooms division, food & beverage, IT, etc. You are also required to have proven capability of being in charge and leading the Auditing division by yourself. This is a "one man / woman show" and you will be solely responsible for the auditing division. The Group Internal Auditor will be responsible for implementing and re-enforcing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), all Internal Control Procedures, directing department heads at the resorts, follow-ups, along with controlling the food & beverage costs. You will audit the inventory, update the financial documents, and ensure that all internal procedures are followed. You will also evaluate operational efficiency and reliability of financial reporting and financial updates, client update, as well as ensure that complete and accurate audit information is reported to the management Hence, meticulous attention to detail, ability to work under pressure and independently are all important requirements for this position. Our client wants someone who will spend half of their day "walking around the properties" to ensure that all internal procedures are followed. A hands on professional who will take the initiative and work independently is what our client is looking for. Excellent communication, IT and documentation skills are required, along with Caribbean experience.
