Executive Pastry Chef Our client is one of the finest resorts in the UAE and is a worldwide name which is immediately recognizable as a progressive luxury hotel group. Our client requires a dynamic Executive Pastry Chef who is creative, energetic and able to lead a brigade of over 30 qualified chefs and cooks, a Master Baker and Chefs de Cuisine responsible for Pastry. The selected candidate will be responsible in ensuring the highest standard of pastry, dessert and bakery preparations, presentations; as well as the smooth operation of the pastry department is maintained by promoting team spirit and motivating team members to achieve a high standard of quality. The client has indicated they prefer someone who has high-end European training and/or work experience and must be creative with an eye for detail. The Selected candidate will report to the Executive chef and will be responsible for over 10 F&B outlets and banqueting facilities as well. He/she will establish an exceptional quality in pastries as well as develop and implement new recipes and creative ideas for new dessert/pastry/bread products for the restaurants and banqueting. Maintain quality, food cost control other expenses of the pastry department. Communicate regularly with Executive Chef and Restaurant Chefs de Cuisine in order to keep them informed of special further improvement plans and guest comments. Demonstrate a commitment to the development and implementation of innovations throughout the Pastry and bakery department. Should also have strong administrative skills ensuring that measurable quality objectives are established and actively participate in the review of these objectives. Qualifications & Requirements: . Have at least 5 - 10 years' previous experience in similar role in a 5-star international resort or hotel . Must possess outstanding guest services skills, professional presentation and sophisticated communication skills. . Have excellent communication and co-ordination skills as well as a creative edge. . Must be able to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, ever-changing environment. . Be able to work independently and interact with confidence and ease at all levels. . Provide sound leadership, coach, direct, train and develop the pastry team. . Have an outgoing, friendly, warm and professional disposition and effective handling of problems in the workplace. Salary Compensation: Base US$6300 tax free per month (Negotiable based on experience); Housing allowance of US$2200 per month plus all expat benefits including full family package with school fees for two school aged children.
