**To qualify for this role, you must be a US citizen or have valid US work permit** A highly respected global Hotel group in the 4 and 5 star category seeks a very experienced Head of Hotels / Vice President Operations for all of their hotels in USA. This group is represented in every part of the world and particularly in the USA, they have over two dozen hotels owned and managed from California to New York. They have hotels in their own brands and they manage under franchise brands as well. Our client requires a dynamic Vice President Operations who understands branding standards and has been a multi-unit General Manager and Vice President / COO for a lengthy period. As the company has 4 and 5 star hotels, the directive is to improve the financial well being of the company and service, as much as possible for the guests. The candidate will be involved in managing the business and the successful implementation of action plans, training and staff development, revenue and cost management. For this senior leadership role, our client has emphasized that they would like someone with at least 8-10 years of senior level experience in luxury hotel operations in the US. You will supervise and direct all General Managers and Executive team members, as well as marketing and promotions, and maintaining excellent business standards with business associates and government authorities. You must also have the ability to develop and establish business policies, playing a lead role in determining strategic goals and objectives for the group's businesses. The successful candidate must have the ability to develop business plans, has broad based business acumen, strong leadership and organizational skills, adoption of best practices, strong initiative and ability as a self-starter, excellent human resources management and labor relations skills. Planning and management budgets are some of the requirements to competently perform this job. Our client wants luxury standards, so experience in the super luxury segment will allow you to stand out from the rest! Other mandatory requirements also include (but not limited to): - A current multi-unit General Manager / VP Operations / COO within an internationally recognized hotel brand in the 4-5 star category. - A proven history of managing a minimum of 10 hotels for no less than 5 years. - International hotel work history outside the USA is a plus. - No "job hoppers" will be considered for this role and your resume should show a clear upward growth. - You must be prepared to live in New York or Los Angeles and travel extensively across the USA. - You must now have valid USA work papers. - Your personality should include flexibility in your approach to your staff and supervisors. No "prima donnas" or "kings" wanted. - Must be very conversant in financial matters and be a "nit-picker" when it comes to standards and results.
