**Middle East experience is mandatory and European / International experience is important** Our client is an established hotel group in the UAE who owns and manages serviced residences and hotels. They are a core leader in their market and they seek an experienced Group Financial Controller (multi-unit). As a Group Financial Controller, you will oversee all of their properties in the UAE. These properties offer a wide range of facilities and personalized service for business and leisure travelers. It is mandatory for this individual to have a proven track record with an international well-known brand in similar hotel field, or at least in a multi-unit role for five plus years. You will be highly customer-orientated with the ability to lead and motivate their team, and must have outstanding references from a luxury hotel group. Other important responsibilities include the overall accounting and financial management, local tax authority compliance of the hotel, and oversee the internal, external and regulatory audit processes. You will also be responsible for verifying all financial reports and ensuring that all transactions are accurate and in compliance with local government regulations. Prepare and review annual budgets, monthly forecasts, operating results, as well as prepare and submit management reports in a timely manner ensuring delivery deadlines. You should also be able to effectively implement all accounting policies and procedures. To qualify for this role, the candidate must have knowledge and experience in MS Applications (Excel, Powerpoint etc.), along with knowledge of Sun accounting systems, Hotel Software or Property Management Systems (Fidelio, Opera). Previous experience in audit firms and/or Internal Audit would be a plus, as well as analytical skills. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with fluency in English. European training and experience would be a valuable asset, with experience in UAE and in internationally known hotel chains. Annual salary of Dhs 300000 + expat benefits.
