**To qualify for this role, you must be a US Citizen or have a valid US work permit** An Internationally acclaimed Celebrity Chef seeks a dynamic and an outstanding Group Director of Operations to oversee their restaurants globally! The concepts of their restaurants vary; from modern Japanese to fusion California and Asian cuisine to unique theme cafes and juice bars to Izakaya style and small plates similar to tapas. Each restaurant is unique in its dÃ©cor and food concept. While reporting directly to the Celebrity Chef, you will be fully in charge of managing the Operations of all the Restaurants. You are responsible for Training and Hiring staff at all levels; including Chefs and Restaurant Managers. You will be the "Chef's right hand" and work along with them at all times. Although this position is based in San Francisco, you must be willing and flexible to travel internationally and/or be based at another location, as per current and future restaurant opening requirements. Hence, International (culture) exposure and work experience would be beneficial. Minimum 5 years of experience as a Group General Manager or Director of Operations or in a senior Corporate level role in similar trendy and established restaurant brands is essential. This is just not any Restaurant Manager's role. Our client is very specific about their requirements and will look at only those who exceed their expectations, which are listed below as mandatory requirements. Mandatory Requirements: - You must have a proven track record of overseeing 10+ Restaurants for a well-recognized Restaurant brand or Michelin Star Chef in USA and/or oversees. - A current Group General Manager who has worked in a similar role for award winning Chefs and overseen / managed the operations of their restaurants would be ideal for this position - A great operator who can work independently and without any guidance. You are required to manage the operations and business of all restaurants that are located internationally. - "Opening" experience is a huge asset, as the Group Director of Operations will assist and work "hand in hand" with the Chef to open new restaurants that are currently in the pipeline. - You must possess "entrepreneurial" skills to develop the business and the brand. Current market knowledge and contacts in the area is a must have! - We seek a "self-starter" and a "go-getter" who will manage and drive results. - This is not a desk job, as you are required to create a market, seek new business and grow the brand. - This person will "think out of the box", build the team and put strategy in place. - You must be service and quality oriented and ensure that customer service is at its best. - Solid qualifications in Restaurant and Food & Beverage at well recognized Institutes is mandatory! Compensation: Annual salary is between US$150,000 to US$180,000 gross (all inclusive) + bonus. Single status is preferred.
