Newly remodeled luxury 4 star resort, slated to open in 2020, located on a small island in the British Virgin Islands, is seeking an experienced Executive Chef. The Executive Chef will oversee all aspects of the resort's Culinary operations that comprise of a 250 seat Food & Beverage outlet, including 1 restaurant and 2 bars, as well as 10 luxury hotel rooms and marina. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in pre-opening experience, kitchen design, menu engineering and new and trending FB concepts. Must have sound communication skills and demonstrate excellent leadership skills. Must have experience working with diverse cultures in a remote island setting. Previous experience in the Caribbean in same or similar role is a MUST. Minimum requirements: *Minimum 8 years of experience in the hospitality industry including 5 years culinary management experience overseeing multiple outlets. **Independent hotel experience considered an asset *Previous Caribbean, remote island experience is a must *Excellent command of the English language *Pre-opening experience and willing to work 50-60 hours per week in opening phase of resort.
