Our client, a five star luxury resort in the Caribbean requires a strong, dynamic Director of Sales and Marketing. We are searching for a top independent resort sales individual who will work with the General Manager to develop and implement effective marketing plans for generating and driving international sales and local sales within the Caribbean. He/she will be responsible for short and long-term planning and the team management of the local resort sales office on property. Will also be responsible to maintain and exceed budgeted sales and profits in the local sales area. Additional Responsibilities: . Oversee all local corporate accounts with group rooms and event space. In addition to the planning, merchandising and execution of the functions. . Set up a well-defined sales program to ensure maximum room/revenue production. . Ensure the Local Sales efforts are strategic, timely and relevant with the local corporate market. . Conduct weekly local sales calls to solicit new accounts and maintain existing accounts. . Manage the local accounts to build long-term, value-based customer relationships to achieve the hotel sales objectives. . Develop and implement Local Sales standards, including but not limited to sales, planning, marketing, servicing and administrative procedures . Conduct site inspections to show case the property . Provide creative site tours, client planning visits, and throughout the execution of the program to maximize the customer experience and increase ancillary hotel revenue. . Responsible for managing the social media channels through posting on property events . Ensure each conference program is delivered flawlessly and to the satisfaction of both the meeting planner and the attendees. . Improving the level of awareness in the marketplace for the resort through active participation in local professional, civic and hospitality industry organizations. . Work closely with our Food & Beverage / Spa / Golf facilities to develop and promote value added packages for the local market. . Create local wedding packages for the local market . Create promotional offers / packages and promote through various distribution channels. Experience: . 5+ years of sales experience in the hospitality industry in the Caribbean market with three years in a senior role in a luxury resort setting preferred . Proven track record of a consistent ability to exceed sales goals . Previous sales leadership experience preferred . Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Business, Sales, Marketing or relevant field or work, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience A strong compensation package will be offered for this excellent sales and maketing role for this major resort.
