We have been retained to seek out the talents of a top Director of Sales for a busy hotel property in the central Florida State area and will focus solely in this region. We are assisting a top Hotel Group in identifying a talented and established Director of Sales for their large branded hotel. You will be a key member of the property's Executive Committee and will report to the General Manager and Senior Sales and Marketing VP. The Director of Sales will always operate with the property's strategic objective in mind and provide the Sales expertise and leadership necessary to achieve these objectives. The ability to identify to present, negotiate, convince, sell and influence buyers, obtain new accounts and to develop client retention programs for existing accounts. You will be totally responsible for building and generating top line revenue to meet or exceed budget expectations. He/she will develop and implement an effective revenue-generating plan to achieve the highest possible occupancy, rate and revenue. Detail oriented and proven track record of progressive performance in your sales career. Knows how to lead and motivate a solid small sales team. The individual will have the ability to develop a sound and progressive sales plan, participate and coordinate all key sales initiatives including sales blitzes, familiarization trips, client events and tradeshows. He/she must also be Internet savvy and keep abreast of current branded and none market trends in the industry. Candidates must demonstrate a comprehensive approach in obtaining and maintaining priority list of accounts and the focus will be on cultivating relationships, building business, providing a stable and positive work environment for the team to achieve budgeted goals. Ability to quickly evaluate situations and alternatives and decide on a plan of action is a must. Very logical and analytical, will take a problem, break it down, cut through any emotional arguments to get to the facts. Focuses on the job and is not dependent upon others for support and stimulation. They will need to bring a mature and productive approach to their sales team. The candidate should have a proven branded hotel sales track record in Florida right now and be currently a Director of Sales. Preference will be given to candidates who have outstanding sales experience in an up market branded 3-4 star resort/hotel property in Central Florida area. This position will offer a starting salary in the range of $90,000 with a bonus potential and excellent benefit package.
