Our client is seeking a Financial Controller for a 5 star hotel on a beautiful Caribbean Island with 4 food and beverage outlets and banqueting facilities. They are seeking an individual to manage and supervise the day-to-day operation of the accounting and finance departments, so that accounting objectives are achieved and maintained. The Financial Controller will report directly to the General Manager and be responsible for the following daily financial operations. - Training, Leadership and management of the accounts staff - Preparation of Financial Statements and Monthly Reconciliations on a timely basis - Preparation of Budgets and Cash Flow Forecasts - Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget and previous year - Analyze and evaluate existing procedures and implement improvements as necessary - Establish and implement short and long range departmental goals, objectives, policies and operating procedures To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria: - Minimum of three years experience in senior-level finance or accounting position in a Caribbean Hotel - Strong leadership and management skills are essential - Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections - Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate staff to produce quality work within a timely fashion - Strong knowledge of Food & Beverage Operations - Timeshare experience an asset - Must be fully conversant and proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint. The excellent salary range will be approximately $100,000 USD annually gross plus full expatriate package including Health Benefits, Bonus, Telephone, Relocation Costs, Meal Allowance and Condominium Accomodation.
