Stephen J. Renard

Toronto-born and holding a Business Degree from U of T, Steve Renard is the Founder/President of Renard International; the leading executive recruitment firm serving the hospitality industry worldwide. Celebrating our 48th Anniversary, we are proud to say that, “our company has placed at least one person in every country in the World!”. This is unique since many of the countries that we have done business with did not exist when we first opened in 1970. Steve, who has traveled to over 30 countries meeting with clients and candidates believes that emails are a great tool for communicating, but personal contact is paramount to staying well-informed on current trends, practices and maintaining strong business relationships.

Robin Sheardown

For many years, Robin has served in a key management leadership role and brings a wealth of experience with a heavy focus on client and candidate relations within the hospitality industry in North America and around the world. Originally from London, England, Robin’s approach to executive search is simple, “hire the very best people for the very best companies”. With decades of experience, he brings a unique sensibility to recruitment and understands the impact of hiring the right individual is paramount to established clients where value added services are second to none.

Pina Mercuri

Pina joined this team in 1997 as the Financial Controller. In this role, she is responsible for a broad range of functions including accounting and day to day operations of Renard International Hospitality Search Consultants. Her main focus is on streamlining operations to ensure financial success for the whole team!

Sylvia Menezes

Sylvia is a senior executive and one of our top producers. Sylvia has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Management training with Oberoi hotels and specialization in Information Technology at New York University. The Taj Group of Hotels hired her to develop and implement their HMS in India and the United States. In addition, her expertise in executive search since 2003 has led to a successful career in recruitment for top hotels, resorts and casinos. Her superior knowledge and acumen also allows her to extend “value added services” and unsurpassed recruitment expertise worldwide.

Brian Renard

Brian is an integral component of the Renard Team for almost 25 years and has developed success in finding just the right applicants to fill the most challenging assignments in the shortest amount of time. Born in Toronto, Canada, his global reach has enabled him to work in over 50 countries and he still takes a great deal of pride in offering personal service to each new and/or existing client. As a past time, Brian likes to travel, play golf and is an avid runner.

Ashok Sharma

An ex-Hotelier with rich experience in International Hotel Operations as a Senior Vice President-Operations, Ashok has completed over a decade with the Renard International Group. He specializes in Service Excellence Evaluations of luxury hotels besides offering mentorship to many up and coming young hoteliers. He strongly believes in Evaluate – Train – Excel to attain Total Customer Satisfaction in the service industry. He is also actively involved in International Executive Searches of Hospitality Professionals for the Global Hospitality Industry at Renard International.

Paul Savage

Paul Savage extensive career spans engagements with major hotel and hospitality brands throughout North America, where he spearheaded the development and execution of national web branding and recruitment strategies. Paul was a part the Hcareers.com management team growing their global presence and revenues. His expertise extends to pioneering online digital and technological solutions for renowned entities such as IHG, Marriott Hotels, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, Ritz-Carlton Hotels, Hyatt Hotels, and Accor on a global scale. Furthermore, he has held pivotal positions in leading niche hospitality technology firms and directly contributed to IHG's Global Talent and Acquisition division for their internal IHG Global Jobs Portal as part of their people tools strategy. Notably, Paul served as the Vice President at HVS Executive Retained Search for six years before transitioning to Renard International. With a degree in Hospitality Management from the UK, Paul's professional endeavors have traversed diverse global markets, encompassing the United States, Asia, Australia, UK, and Canada.

Yasmin Khambatta

Following a bachelor’s degree in arts, Yasmin joined the Chase Manhattan Bank specializing in finance and administration, and receiving the Membership of Association of Administrative Professionals Asia-Pacific. Subsequently joining the hospitality industry and two decades later, Yasmin has proven to be a highly motivated and dedicated assistant to the president utilizing her strong administrative skills which are invaluable. She is also an accomplished consultant in hospitality recruitment having successful business relations with both clients and candidates that earned her several awards. Her passion for cooking, interior design, gardening and travelling has led her to visit major countries worldwide.

Yudeisy Lugo

A dedicated Administrative Assistant who is bilingual and will assist us in ensuring that all of our services are available in Spanish and English.

Bianca Morini

Bianca joined Renard International in 2019 as our new Social Media Specialist. She is currently in the process of earning her Marketing Degree in Business and has grown a strong desire and keen interest towards the hospitality industry in Canada and around the world. Bianca is responsible in overseeing all of Renard International's social media marketing and generating fresh and interesting content on all digital platforms. Her main focus is to drive and increase the company's worldwide visibility and improve communication with its valued clients and applicants. She will also be a part of the team that will be promoting Renard International's 50th Year Anniversary!

Meera Rocha

Prior to moving to Canada in 2010, Meera worked in Bahrain with over 10 years of experience in office administration, customer service and data entry. Meera has recently joined Renard International in 2019 and works closely with President, Steve Renard. Her knowledge and expertise is a great help to our candidates too; entering their information into our database, routing resumes to the recruiters and re-formatting resumes. Meera is your go-to person.

Yash

Yash is a Mauritian national and a passionate hospitality professional with over 15 years of experience in the luxury hospitality industry and has always had a passion for training and recruitment and is known as a motivational and inspiring leader in the industry. He has been part of 5 hotel opening projects from Asia to Dubai, and has worked on the largest cruise ship in the world and holds a Master’s Degree in Project Management and Business Administration. Yash has worked in his career with such outstanding hotel groups as Fairmont, Raffles Constance and Kempinski Hotels. He recently joined Renard International as a Researcher and supports our team of consultants in their important search assignments.

Jorge Lopez

Jorge Lopez is a high-performing, equity-driven leader with over a decade of international hospitality experience, in both hotels and restaurants. He is passionate about improving establishment’s overall operational excellence, creating refined guest experiences, and is dedicated to the growth of his career and those around him.

After earning a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from the University of Girona in Spain, Jorge began his professional career in the Caribbean working in various capacities with deluxe Hotel groups, including Food and Beverage Management and Hotel Operations. During his time within the Caribbean market,

Jorge delivered significant improvements in operating results and built successful teams across various departments. Since moving to Toronto in 2017, Jorge has continued to develop his hospitality knowledge and build his network, as he progressed through roles in Restaurant Management and Guest Relations with a well know Toronto downtown boutique hotel and with the Gusto 54 Group organization.

Today, Jorge looks forward to combining his devoted passion for the international hospitality industry by matching our clients’ talent management requirements and meeting our applicants’ career aspirations.

Lisa Renard

Lisa Renard grew up in hospitality travelling globally and learning it firsthand from an early age. After earning her Bachelor of Commerce Degree, she joined Renard International where her entrepreneurship, creativity and social skills allowed her to make contacts internationally in the finest of hotels and restaurants. She has an eye for style and can be found trying out the “trendiest restaurants” from Las Vegas to Dubai!
